Two Additional Arrests Made in Warrenville Teen’s Tragic Shooting Death

WARRENVILLE, S.C. – In a significant development, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended two additional individuals in connection with the 2025 murder of 18-year-old Tranard Sheppard.

The latest suspects, 19-year-old Rahmel Simmons and 17-year-old Trezquan Moment, were taken into custody on January 29th and are currently detained at the Aiken County Jail.

Tranard Sheppard tragically lost his life to a shooting that occurred on June 22nd on Sarah Street, an incident that has since gripped the local community.

Simmons and Moment face serious charges, including Murder and Possession during the Commission of a Crime, as authorities continue their pursuit of justice in this ongoing investigation.

These arrests add to the list of individuals apprehended in connection to this case, marking a pivotal moment in the pursuit of accountability and closure for those affected by Sheppard’s untimely death.

In July 2025, investigators charged 17-year-old Marquis Edric Robinson, of North Augusta with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

On January 20th, 2026, investigators charged 17-year-old Cornelius Marquel Simpkins, Jr. of Beech Island with Murder and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime.
