CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Two tractor-trailers turned over on their side in Neoga Township early Saturday morning during the tornado.

At approximately 12:13 a.m., Illinois State Police Troop 9 responded to Interstate 57, southbound milepost 177 in Cumberland County for the report of two tractor-trailers overturned on their side. According to State Police, “for unknown reasons,” a Kenworth tractor-trailer and a Volvo tractor-trailer overturned at this location.

While on scene, it was determined that non-live power lines were also down and across the roadway. No injuries were reported during this incident.

During the situation, southbound lanes were closed for the recovery and removal of the overturned tractor-trailers. Traffic was diverted off I-57 at the milepost 177 exit and the roadway was reopened at approximately 5:32 a.m.
