
BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (News Update) – Authorities in Burke County have announced the arrest of two juveniles, believed to be responsible for a series of car break-ins.
The incidents reportedly took place in the Burke Haven area, starting on the evening of May 22, 2026, and continuing into the early hours of May 23, 2026.
The young suspects face charges of Entering an Automobile with the Intent to Commit a Theft or Felony, as well as Theft by Taking a Firearm.
To help residents stay alert, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office offered several precautionary tips.
- Locking vehicle doors at all times
- Removing valuables from vehicles or keeping them out of sight
- Never leaving firearms inside unattended vehicles
- Reporting suspicious activity immediately to law enforcement
The investigation is still active, with authorities conducting more interviews, and additional arrests may be forthcoming.
