SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — When Bob Hespen playfully suggested to his fiancée, Melanie Curtis, that they tie the knot at Buc-ee’s, he didn’t expect her to take him seriously.
“I brought it up as a joke,” Bob admitted to Nexstar’s WATE.
Melanie, however, found the idea delightful. “I thought it was perfect for us,” she said. “It really fits our style.”
The choice was logical for the couple from Illinois. They had their hearts set on a Smoky Mountains wedding and shared a fondness for Buc-ee’s, frequently making detours to visit during their road trips. What better spot than the Sevierville, Tennessee, branch of the beloved gas station?
