FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – Over 20 pounds of cocaine was found along a Florida beach.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said a resident walking their dog reported a washed-up bag on Hammock Beach that ended up being cocaine.
“Snow on the beach? Weird…” the sheriff’s office posted on social media.
The sheriff’s office tested the bricks and determined it was “100% cocaine.”
“We are working with the DEA to determine the source of the cocaine,” Sheriff Rick Staly said in the post. “I commend and thank the resident that called us so we could get this poison off the beach. If you see any suspicious packages on the beach, call 386-313-4911. Do not touch it or take it. You could be arrested or worse, like a cartel coming after you.”
The sheriff’s office said the drugs would be destroyed.
