CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — As the holiday season approaches, the University of Illinois Extension’s SNAP-Ed program is launching a food drive to support families and individuals in need across Champaign County.

Starting Monday and continuing until the day before Thanksgiving, the program will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items. Ideal contributions include canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, and other long-lasting staples.
