At the Copperhead Course nestled within the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida, the excitement of Valspar Championship’s third day was palpable as Sungjae Im took the lead. The tournament, celebrating its 50th anniversary, drew both tourists and locals who were eager to witness the spectacle of skill and sportsmanship.
Kim Roman, a devoted spectator, shared her enthusiasm with 8 On Your Side, saying, “They put on a phenomenal, like, phenomenal tournament. I like it. I hope that it never leaves Palm Harbor because it really is special.” Her sentiments reflect the community’s pride and the event’s deep roots in the area.

Ryan Murphy, who attended the event, expressed his joy, stating, “It was fantastic. We had a great time. We loved the weather, loved the event. It was just been spectacular. It was great.”

“They’re way better than I am. So, watching them play, it’s pretty impressive to watch. Just wishing I could do that,” Brighton Muller said.
As the PGA’s most colorful tournament’s final day rapidly approaches, some say this championship showcased the very best of our area.
“This is what we’re about here in Tampa Bay, and you know, this is televised throughout the world and show us this beautiful weather and beautiful place we call home. It’s a great opportunity for us to promote our region,” Bruce Rector, Mayor of Clearwater, said.
