Some services changes coming to Chatham Area Transit

SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Beginning Monday, July 28, Chatham Area Transit (CAT) Authority will implement service changes for the following routes.

  • 5 Port Wentworth: Route 5will operate every 2 hours on Saturdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. There will be no service on Sundays, and weekday service will remain unchanged.
  • 11 Candler: Route 11will follow a new pattern in both directions, including new and existing stops to improve coverage while minimizing disruptions.
    • New Bus Stops:
      • Inbound (Northbound)
        • Habersham & Gwinnett
      • Outbound (Northbound)
        • Anderson & Habersham
        • Habersham & 35th 
        • Habersham & 37th
    • Existing Stops to be Used:
      • Inbound
        • East Broad & 35th
        • East Broad & 33rd
        • East Broad &Anderson (Lane)
        • East Broad & Duffy
        • East Broad & Park Ave.
        • Waldburg & East Broad
      • Outbound:
        • Taylor St. (Rose of Sharon)
        • Habersham & Gwinnett (Southbound)
        • Habersham & Waldburg St.
        • Habersham & Park Ave.
        • Habersham & 40th
  • 14 Abercorn: Route 14 will operate under a new frequency on Saturdays. The timing will be adjusted to every 45-minutes.
  • 28 Waters: Route 28 will now have an additional bus during morning and afternoon peak hours.
    • Inbound:
      • Run hourly from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and then from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
    • Outbound:
      • Run hourly from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and again from 2:00 – 6:00 a.m.
