Savannah Adult Recreational Club: What's coming up?

SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Anyone over the age of 18 can get involved in Savannah Adult Recreational Club’s (SARC) leagues, as multiple sports are set to begin.

Regardless of your athletic background, SARC offers a wide variety of sports with the main focus of having fun and creating a sense of community.

Leagues are played all year round and consist of 6-7 weeks of play, followed by an end-of-season tournament.

Grass volleyball will begin July 20 at Forsyth Park. Games will be played every Sunday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. The season will run through September 14. The season consists of two practice games, five regular-season games and a playoff tournament.

Softball will start after volleyball, officially beginning July 31 at Paulson Softball Complex. Games will be every Thursday from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and the season will wrap up September 25. There will be two practice games, five regular-season games and a postseason tournament.

Sunday Kickball will start August 10 and run through October 5. Games will be every Sunday from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Ambuc Park. Kickball will have one practice game, six regular season games and playoffs.

All leagues are co-ed, meaning teams consist of both men and women. Interested players can either sign up as a full team or a free agent.
