Kickapoo Rail Trail construction approaching in Urbana; here's how to give your input:

URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — With the next phase of the Kickapoo Rail Trail construction approaching, the community is invited to learn more about the project.

On Feb. 12, the Urbana Park District and the Forest Preserves of Champaign County will team up to host an open house at the Health & Wellness Center.

The park district said that in the next phase of the project, they’ll build a pavilion at the KRT Trailhead at Weaver Park. All members of the community are invited to learn more about the project, give their opinions, and ask planners about the construction.

You can also call Urbana Park District Planning and Operations at 217-344-9583. The Park District said that planners would be happy to discuss the project with interested parties.

The open house will run from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Health & Wellness Center, located at 2002 E Washington St. in Urbana.
