POTOMAC, Ill. (WCIA) — After a nearly three-hour outage, power has been restored for 525 people near Potomac.

With the outage first reported at 8:57 p.m. on Friday, the issue was resolved just before midnight for the Vermilion County residents. The cause of the power outage remains unknown at this time.

POTOMAC, Ill. (WCIA) — Just northeast of Potomac, 525 people are currently without power.

According to Ameren’s Outage Map, the power outage started at 8:57 p.m. on Friday in Vermilion County. Both the estimated restoration time and the cause of the outage are unknown at this time.

WCIA reached out to Ameren Illinois for more information and is waiting for a response.
