SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — CWLP announced that power has been restored to the nearly 1,200 people who were affected by an outage in Springfield on Saturday.
In their updated Facebook post, CWLP said power was restored to all of the residents before 3:15 p.m. At this time however, the cause of the power outage remains unknown.
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — City Water, Light and Power crews are currently responding to a power outage affecting nearly 1,200 people in Springfield.
According to CWLP, the power outage is on a circuit from their Adlai Stevenson Drive substation. The outage is currently impacting the Laketown area, Lake Victoria and Adloff Estates, and along Taylor Ave. from E Stanford Ave. to Adlai Stevenson Drive.
As of 1:53 p.m., CWLP’s outage map shows that 1,181 people are being affected by this power outage. They said once the problem is found, crews will work to isolate the outage down to smaller groups and restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
