BRISTOL, Tenn. — Authorities in Bristol, Tennessee, remain engaged in an active investigation into a tragic double homicide that unfolded on November 23. The Bristol Tennessee Police Department (BTPD) shared an update on Tuesday, emphasizing their ongoing efforts to solve the case.
The incident occurred in the early morning on Lily Street’s 100 block, where law enforcement discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds, two of whom unfortunately did not survive. The BTPD continues to seek any information that could aid in solving this case.

Elijah Khalil Campbell, 18, of Bristol, Virginia, reportedly turned himself in to the Bristol, Virginia, Police Department that same day. He was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and various other charges.
The BTPD previously stated Campbell was the sole suspect in the case.
The victims of the shooting were identified as Deone Wright, 20, and Lexy Coleman, 21. Wright’s father identified him as a victim to News Channel 11, and police confirmed Coleman’s identity.
Campbell is expected in court on Dec. 11 in Bristol General District Court in Bristol, Virginia. As of Tuesday, the BTPD reported Campbell was still being held in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail.
