(NewsNation) — Concerns over potential Listeria contamination have prompted a recall of Boar’s Head cheese by one of its suppliers, as reported by the Food and Drug Administration.

Boar’s Head responded swiftly to the situation by ceasing all purchases from The Ambriola Company, alerting its retail partners, and ensuring the affected cheese products are being withdrawn from distribution across the country, according to their official statement.

This recall is classified as Class I, indicating that consumption of the product could lead to severe health risks or even death.
