(NEXSTAR) – The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a recall of a cream intended for eczema treatment due to contamination with Staphylococcus aureus. The recall involves a product made by a Wisconsin company.

The product in question is the Multi-symptom Treatment Cream & Skin Protectant Eczema Cream, marketed under the MG217 brand by Pharmacal, based in Jackson, Wisconsin. This cream, promoted as fast-acting and hypoallergenic, and labeled as “safe for children & babies,” was distributed both in stores and online across the United States.
