Urgent: Tybee PD on the Hunt for Duo in Elderly Theft Case – Community Alert!

Tybee Island, Ga. — The Tybee Island Police Department is currently working to track down two individuals involved in a significant theft case, seeking the assistance of the community to bring them to justice.

The case involves the theft of ‘tens of thousands of dollars’ from two elderly victims, a crime that has already led to the arrest of two suspects. Authorities are now focused on locating two additional individuals linked to this troubling incident.

The first suspect, Ami Renee Zampi, 49, is wanted for charges including theft by conversion and two counts of exploiting a vulnerable elderly person financially. Zampi is described as a white female, with blue eyes, standing 5’06” tall and weighing around 160 pounds.

The second individual, Philip Barnard George, 43, faces charges of theft by deception. He is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes, approximately 5’07” tall and weighing 160 pounds.

The Tybee Island Police Department is urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of these individuals to come forward, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in resolving this case and ensuring the safety of vulnerable citizens.

Officials say the suspects may be traveling with another woman and two children.
