AUGUSTA, Ga. () – The Jessye Norman School of the Arts in downtown Augusta was vandalized last week.

In a Facebook Post, it said a rock was thrown through the window.

You Can’t Break the Spirit of the Arts 💛

Last Thursday morning, our team arrived to find a rock had been thrown through the window of our Visual Arts classroom. Though the glass shattered, our spirit — and our mission — did not.

At JNSA, we teach our students that art is transformation. Even in moments like this, we’re reminded that beauty can always be rebuilt, especially when a community comes together.

The estimated cost of repair is $2,000, and we’re inviting those who believe in what we do to be part of restoring this creative space — a place where imagination and possibility take shape every day.

✨ Let’s turn this setback into a symbol of strength, unity, and shared purpose.
