New 24/7 Pet Emergency Hospital Opens in North Tampa, Offering Unmatched Care for Pets and Their Families

VEG ER for Pets, a leading name in veterinary emergency services, is thrilled to announce the opening of its newly relocated and expanded facility in North Tampa. Situated at 16314 N Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33618, the hospital will officially open its doors on Tuesday, August 26, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. ET. This state-of-the-art hospital is set to deliver top-tier emergency care in veterinary medicine, offering services such as surgeries, ultrasounds, x-rays, and more to the North Tampa community and surrounding areas. Conveniently located next to Gaither High School on Dale Mabry Hwy, this marks the second VEG hospital in Tampa and the 10th across Florida.

“Our goal is to ensure that pet parents entering VEG North Tampa immediately recognize they’ve found a premier destination for emergency veterinary care,” stated Dr. David Bessler, founder and CEO of VEG. “From the moment they step inside, they’ll be greeted with warmth, empathy, and a comforting environment designed for both them and their pets.”

VEG has redefined the landscape of veterinary emergency medicine by tailoring the experience to meet the needs of both pets and their owners. When pet parents contact VEG, they are promptly connected with a licensed veterinarian to address any medical concerns. Unlike traditional veterinary offices, VEG eliminates the anxiety of waiting in a lobby by beginning triage as soon as clients arrive, even before any paperwork is completed. Moreover, pet owners are encouraged to remain with their pets throughout all phases of treatment, including during surgeries and overnight stays.

VEG North Tampa is open for pet emergencies 24/7, even on holidays. The hospital has an open floor plan that allows pet parents to have freedom of movement and to see life-saving heroics up close.

VEG not only accommodates customer needs; the company gives back to the pet-loving community through VEG Cares, an initiative benefiting underserved pets in crisis, and by supporting future emergency veterinarians by granting scholarships to D.V.M. students.
