Vehicle fire slows Florida Turnpike in Osceola County

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A vehicle fire Monday morning prompted the closure of the Florida Turnpike in Osceola County.

Southbound lanes of the Turnpike were closed at the Canoe Creek Plaza, but one lane was later reopened. There are significant delays in the area, however.

The vehicle appeared to be a box truck or semitrailer, but details about the incident have not been released.

Drivers can use U.S. 441 as an alternate route.
