Republican Party of Virginia nominates Jason Miyares for Attorney General of Virginia

VIRGINIA (DC News Now) — The Republican Party of Virginia announced Thursday that it is nominating Jason Miyares as its nominee for Attorney General of Virginia.

The Republican Party of Virginia said Miyares’s “proven track record makes him the clear choice to run for re-election.”

“Over the past four years, Attorney General Miyares has been a tireless advocate for Virginians’ individual liberties and public safety while guarding our Commonwealth against the woke excesses of Democrats in Richmond and Washington, D.C. His work on stopped the flow of fentanyl into our communities, locking up violent criminals, protecting Virginia from Joe Biden’s border invasion, securing Virginia’s election instrastructure, cracking down on gun violence, and supporting law enforcement has made Virginia a safer and more prosperous place to live, work, and raise a family,” the Republican Party of Virginia’s statement read in part. “We look forward to his continuing leadership in the years ahead.

Miyares will be the Republican candidate for the Nov. 4 election.
