VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities in Volusia County are searching for a man who disappeared shortly after being released from jail in early February, officials report.

The Volusia Sheriff’s Office shared that Randy Richmond was last observed on February 8, 2025. His absence from family contact since then is considered highly unusual.

According to a social media update from the sheriff’s office, Richmond’s relatives are worried about his safety, especially given his existing health issues.

Richmond, who is without stable housing or a vehicle, is known to frequent New Smyrna Beach. Despite efforts by deputies and checks with local hospitals, no leads have surfaced regarding his location.

If anyone has information about Richmond’s whereabouts, they are encouraged to reach out to Detective Salinas via email at SSalinas@volusiasheriff.gov or call the non-emergency line at 386-248-1777.
