WADLEY, Ga. — This weekend, the spirit of community and togetherness will shine bright in Wadley as the Save One Build One Foundation hosts Community Grill Day. This gathering promises to unite neighbors over delicious food and shared experiences.
James Cunningham, who serves as both the CEO of the foundation and a youthful member of the Wadley City Council, emphasizes that this event transcends a simple meal. “Even though we live near one another, there are times when we feel a bit disconnected,” Cunningham explained. “This event is an opportunity for families to connect, communicate, and enjoy each other’s company.”
The foundation dedicates itself to mentoring young individuals who might lack proper guidance or opportunities, and Cunningham believes that events like this play a crucial role in fostering community involvement. “We want our youth to recognize that they have the power to make a difference in their own backyards,” he noted.
Community Grill Day is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, from noon to 2 p.m., conveniently located across from B&T’s Fresh Food on Butts Street. Attendees can enjoy complimentary hamburgers, hot dogs, and refreshments, with an open invitation for volunteers to assist in serving.
