According to the Storm Team 11 Forecast, Tuesday night is expected to bring predominantly cloudy conditions, accompanied by a 70% likelihood of rain. Anticipated rainfall could accumulate between a quarter and half an inch, with temperatures dipping to 32 degrees.
On Wednesday, the sky will remain overcast, and there’s a 70% chance that rain will transition to snow in the northern regions of southwest Virginia by the morning. By evening, this changeover is expected to occur in the Tri-Cities and Tennessee’s mountainous areas. Wednesday’s temperatures will peak at 40 degrees, dropping to a chilly 19 degrees by nightfall. Thursday promises partly cloudy skies with cold temperatures, reaching a high of about 35 degrees.
Snowfall predictions for Wednesday night suggest accumulations ranging from a mere dusting up to two inches across the Tri-Cities. Meanwhile, the higher altitudes in northeast Tennessee might receive one to three inches of snow.
Thursday night will remain cloudy, with the mercury falling to around 19 degrees. As we move into Friday, the forecast shows mostly cloudy skies with a 30% chance of snow developing later in the day, and a high of 42 degrees.
Friday night will also be cloudy, carrying a 40% chance of snow and a low of 25 degrees. On Saturday, the day will start with cloudy skies and scattered showers, eventually clearing to partly cloudy conditions. The temperature is expected to reach a high of 38 degrees.
Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Saturday night with a low of 20 degrees. Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Sunday with a high of 43 degrees.
Cloudy skies are forecast for Sunday night with a low of 27 degrees. Snow showers will be possible late Sunday. Cloudy skies are forecast for Monday morning with a chance of snow. Partly cloudy skies will prevail through the afternoon with a high of 45 degrees.
Monday night forecast to be partly cloudy with a low of 30. Tuesday will be cloudy with a 30% chance of rain. The high will be 52.
