When can I recycle old electronics in Sullivan?

SULLIVAN, Ill. (WCIA) — The City of Sullivan has rescheduled their electronic recycling event.

The new date has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Wyman Park. It’s open to anyone living within city limits, as well as City of Sullivan utility customers.

The city said to participate, bring proof of residency or a recent utility bill. Police officers with the city will be checking ID’s.

Each household can bring up to 10 items and all donated items should weigh less than 75 pounds.

Accepted items include computer devices (like hard drives, modems and keyboards), office equipment (such as cell phones, fax machines and typewriters), home appliances (including power tools, coffee makers and toasters), and home entertainment equipment (like DVD players, cameras and media speakers).

A full list of items that will be accepted can be found here. The City of Sullivan said that wood or projection TV’s will not be accepted.
