Winter Weather Approaches: Shoppers Face Challenges at Hardware Stores

MARTINEZ, Ga. () – While the local grocery stores might run out of essentials like bread and milk when snow is predicted, a more strategic stop would be at Fury’s Ferry Hardware. Here, the focus is on smart preparation rather than frantic buying.

“We don’t usually carry a wide array of snow-related items,” explained Houston Maund, Co-Owner. “Sleds are not in our inventory, but we do have a few shovels that can serve as snow shovels.”

Adding a snow shovel to your shopping list might be a wise move.

“What brings you here today?”

“I’m actually here for packing tape, not anything related to the snow,” responded Minnie Rogers.

“That’s not fun,” I told Minnie.

“No, I’m not going to get no snow shovel, just stay inside the house,” said Steve Hood.

But you could employ this to push shovel to get the snow off the sidewalk and steps, but some are not in need.

“I’m not looking for a snow shovel because I already have one,” said Kelby Munson.

Don’t need the shovel? Then get out the sled.

“I’m getting ready to get it ready,” said Richard Lewis.

“You might have to shovel first.”

“I doubt it” he said.

“Do you need a sled?”

“Don’t need a sled. Don’t need snow boots. Don’t need any of those things,” said Minnie.

You can get the snow boots here, but sadly no sleds, but they have some advice if you want to hit the hills after it snows.

“Good trash can top if they have one,” said Houston.

“You’re a true southerner.”

“Yep,” he agreed.

Getting ready for snow at the hardware store… don’t brush it off.
