Woman Barred From SOMC After Coffee Throwing Incident

Portsmouth Police Officers responded to SOMC after a security officer reported that a woman had assaulted a staff member.

They said the woman had gotten away from security and was now running down the hill on 25th Street. Officers caught up with the woman at 25th and Grandview.

Security said the woman threw coffee on a patient in a bed and that some of the coffee splashed on a security officer.

The hospital served the woman with a letter informing her she was barred from the premises.
