Now, with this new season, fans might witness a vibrant, live-action portrayal of this beloved narrative, rightfully integrating it into the modern canon.
The trailer introduces viewers to two universes—the familiar Star Wars galaxy, where Grand Admiral Thrawn, portrayed by Lars Mikkelsen, and his Nightsister allies wage war on the New Republic, and a novel galaxy unveiled in Season 1, where Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) are marooned. Long-time Expanded Universe followers will likely find excitement in the epic space battles between Thrawn’s forces and the New Republic fleet, featuring recognizable fighter designs and subtle nods to “Star Wars Rebels.”
