The late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, is set to return to the airwaves on Tuesday night.

The Walt Disney Company, which owns ABC—the network that suspended the show following controversial comments made by Kimmel regarding the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk—announced the decision in a statement on Monday.

“Last Wednesday, we chose to suspend production of the show to avoid further aggravating a sensitive situation at a deeply emotional time for our country,” a Disney spokesperson said. “This decision was made because we believed some of the remarks were poorly timed and therefore insensitive. Over the past several days, we have engaged in thoughtful discussions with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we have agreed to bring the show back on Tuesday.”
