When we think about President Donald Trump, we don’t always think about him being a grandfather. But he is, and he certainly enjoys his grandkids. Grandpa is frequently seen with them at Mar-a-Lago. 

He has 10 grandchildren–five by his son Don Jr. with his former wife Vanessa, with the oldest being Kai, the golfer, who is 17; then there’s Donald John III, Tristan Milos, Chloe Sophia, and Spencer Frederick. Then there are three by his daughter, Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner — Arabella Rose, Joseph Frederick, and Theodore James. There are two from his son, Eric, and his wife Lara — Eric Luke and Carolina Dorothy. 

Finally, his daughter Tiffany Trump is pregnant with her first child as well, with her husband Michael Boulos. So he’s pretty used to the concept at this point. 

But it looks as if the president might have a bit of an adopted grandkid in Elon Musk’s son, Lil X, who clearly enjoys being with Trump. Elon is frequently working at the White House and traveling with Trump, so X has gotten to know Trump and is comfortable with him. 

As they all were leaving the White House on Friday to board Marine One, Trump headed out ahead of Elon with  Lil X in tow, who was jumping up and down with excitement. What little boy wouldn’t have a blast to be with the president and ride on such a helicopter?

Trump was having a great time with him too, making an “X” with his hands, to show who he was with to reporters.

Trump even took the boy’s hand and lifted him up on the steps of the helicopter, so he could get in more easily. Then Trump jogged up after him. 

Elon came along next, trailing afterward with a group including Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. They both waved to the reporters.

This will be a memory Little X can take with him, and have pictures of forever; people on the X platform were loving how sweet it was. 

This isn’t the first time Lil X stole the show. He also got some attention when his father was trying to talk to reporters in the Oval Office about DOGE, and the boy tried shushing a reporter he wanted to stay quiet. Trump praised him, calling him a “high IQ individual.”
