A TOP Canadian actress who played a role in the famous American Pie movie franchise has reportedly been detained at the Mexico border.

Jasmine Mooney, 35, said she has been held in “inhumane” conditions and was “wrapped in chains” after being held US immigration officials while trying to get a new visa.

The actress is understood to have entered the country through Mexico, where US border agents asked her to apply for a new work visa.

But she was quickly refused entry back to Mexico and was detained by the agents, KGTV reports.

She described being kept in a cold room for three days at the world’s busiest land border before she was arrested by ICE and thrown into San Diego’s Otay Mesa Detention Center.
