America’s Energy Revolution: Leading the World in Oil & Gas Production with Innovative Strategies

America’s energy sector is experiencing a remarkable boom, showcasing a dynamic transformation that extends beyond just exploration and infrastructure development in the United States. The catchphrase “drill, baby, drill” has now been expanded to include “mine, baby, mine,” marking a swift and unexpected shift in the energy landscape.

Leading the charge with promising statistics is Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, who has shared some compelling figures that illuminate the current energy production scenario.

Let us delve into these figures for a clearer understanding. Starting with oil production, measured in millions of barrels per day, Burgum’s report offers insights into which countries are leading in this domain.

Let’s have a closer look at those numbers, shall we? Here’s his rundown on who’s producing what. First, oil – petroleum, in millions of barrels per day.

  • USA: 24.0
  • Saudi Arabia: 10.9
  • Russia: 10.5
  • Canada: 6.4
  • China: 5.4
  • United Arab Emirates: 4.7
  • Iran: 4.6

It’s unclear if that Iran number is before or after Operation Epic Fury.

Now, on natural gas, the United States is dominating even more; these numbers are in billion cubic feet per day:

  • USA: 118
  • Russia: 62
  • Iran: 27
  • China: 23
  • Canada: 20
  • Qatar: 20
  • Australia: 16

We are, in a little over a year since President Trump resumed office, producing more oil than Saudi Arabia and Russia combined, and more natural gas then the combined output of Russia, Iran, and China. That’s pretty impressive.
