A MISSING mom sent an eerie text before vanishing, as cops reveal they have discovered her abandoned car.
The devastated family of Ashley Elkins, 30, raised the alarm after receiving out-of-character text messages.
Cops found her older-model gray Chevy Malibu parked in Roseville, Michigan on January 7.
The vehicle was found close to her ex-boyfriend’s apartment complex.
Elkins’ last-known location was in Roseville, a northeastern suburb of Detroit, but she is still missing.
The mom-of-two worked as a hairdresser out of her home in nearby Warren, Michigan.
She was last seen on January 2 leaving her home to run errands.
Her mom, Monika Elkin, revealed that she had sent her daughter a text on the day she disappeared.
She texted her to tell her about a dream she had, in which Ashley came and took her mom’s truck and left her car in the driveway.
But when Monika checked in the dream, the car was gone, and was shortly later found in a grassy area with the trunk and hood open.
Ashley reportedly replied to the dream description almost immediately with a two-word response.
“Awe, man,” she wrote.
Monika thought the response was uncharacteristic of her daughter so she FaceTimed her, but she didn’t answer.
Hours later, a second relative said Elkins texted them to say she was heading to a specific beauty supply store.
Shortly after, her phone was turned off, before later being turned back on.
Her family say they haven’t heard from her since.
Elkins’ older sister, Alexis, told local outlet WXYZ she had tracked her location through the Find My iPhone app.
Her last location showed her at her ex-boyfriend De’Andre Booker’s apartment complex.
The building is now being treated as a crime scene and her ex-boyfriend has been charged with lying to police.
On Tuesday, investigators spent some six hours searching a Macomb County landfill.
Booker, 32, allegedly left town and traveled to Flint where he was arrested.
A GoFundMe has been set up to raise money for Ashley Elkin’s sons.
