TAIWANESE beauty influencer Guava Shuishui has died at the age of 24 as a result of a “sudden illness”.

The content creator, known to her fans as Guava Beauty, gained a large following as a result of her controversial habit of tasting makeup products as she tested them.

According to a social media post shared on her account, Guava died on May 24 from a “sudden illness”, as translated from English.

The influencer created mukbang videos, in which she would eat makeup products, including lipstick, blush, face masks and cotton pads.

Mukbang is a popular online trend, especially in South Korea, where a person films themselves eating a large amount of food while interacting with an audience.

The post announcing her death can be translated as: “Although this journey came suddenly, Shuishui held on to every difficult moment just like she has always been – hard-working, serious and shining.

“Thank you to everyone who has liked, left a message and laughed with her, and thank you for your love and support.

“She really keeps it in her heart and cherishes it very much.

“Guava Shuishui simply continues to glow in a different place.

“When we meet again one day, she should be unboxing angels’ exclusive makeup.”

Her parents also made a separate post today, promising not to delete their daughter’s account describing it as a “link with your [fans’] memories with Guava” and a “space full of laughter and genuine connection”.

The content creator acknowledged in the caption of a popular Instagram reel that eating makeup products was “controversial”.

In the video, she applies a jelly blush to her cheeks before sticking a fork in to take a bite.

One concerned user commented: “Please can you stop this behaviour… You can eat in private, you can eat whatever you like. Really don’t promote the act of ‘eating makeup,'” according to the English translation.

Another wrote: “Is it really okay to eat this?”

Guava responded by explaining that she spits the makeup out, joking that otherwise, she would have to see a doctor.

It comes a teenage influencer tragically died after she allegedly unlocked her safety belt while parasailing.

Tijana Radonjic, 19, fell into the sea from a great height in Montenegro, reportedly after suffering a panic attack.

Her body was retrieved from the water and taken to the marina before emergency services confirmed her death.

Authorities are investigating what caused her to unbuckle her belt, remove her legs from the straps and fall from the seat.
