During Wednesday’s episode of “MS NOW Reports,” Jonathan Lemire, co-host and Staff Writer for The Atlantic, highlighted that certain fraud investigations in Minnesota actually began under the Biden administration. He noted that the current administration might be eager to shift the public’s focus due to several unfavorable headlines. Furthermore, Lemire pointed out that the topic has turned into a highly politicized matter.

Lemire remarked, “This has evolved into a deeply political issue. Initially, it’s important to recognize that some of these investigations in Minnesota were launched during the Biden administration, which was a Democratic leadership. There are legitimate concerns regarding how the focus on the Somali immigrant community in Minnesota has been used to bolster the administration’s stringent deportation rhetoric.”

He further elaborated, “It appears that the White House is attempting to divert attention amidst a slew of negative headlines. We’ve observed Vice President Vance and others consistently emphasizing this issue in recent days.”
