While the couple hasn’t officially responded to the subpoena, if they refuse, they could be held in contempt of Congress.

“If someone doesn’t comply with a subpoena…you can hold them in contempt of Congress,” House Oversight Committee chair James Comer told NewsNation.

“With a Republican attorney general, that’s something that I think that the Clinton legal team is going to think long and hard about.

“You’re not going to have a lot of sympathy, probably from the Trump DOJ, if the Clintons failed to comply with a bipartisan, congressionally approved subpoena, which is what that was.”

Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier, was convicted of sex trafficking women and underage girls, leading to his arrest in 2019.

The felon died in prison in 2019 after committing suicide.

The millionaire allegedly had contacts with many influential people, including Prince Andrew, the Clintons, and Donald Trump.

The Clintons had allegedly flown on Epstein’s private plane, known as the “Lolita Express” by the locals who were aware of the young girls coming to the private island of Little St. James.

The accusation comes after prosecutors released a 118-page flight log as evidence in the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate, Newsweek reported.

Maxwell was charged with six counts, including sex trafficking of a minor, for which she pleaded not guilty.

She was found guilty of five of the six counts and was sentenced to 20 years in prison in June 2022.

The logs indicate that the Clintons flew on the plane in the 1990s, with Bill reportedly flying on it up to nine times.

However, the former president denied having any extended contact with the convicted felon.

“President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York,” a 2022 statement by Clinton read.

“He’s not spoken to Epstein in well over a decade, and has never been to Little St. James island.”

The former Democratic president stated that he “knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has recently been charged in New York.”

Bill Clinton’s office did not immediately respond to The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.

Prince Andrew was also named in the flight logs, having allegedly flown twice in February 1999.

The prince was accused of sexually assaulting one woman, Virginia Giuffre, on three separate occasions before she was 18 years old.

Andrew denies all allegations.
