A BODY has been found in the search for a teacher who vanished while in Puerto Rico.
Amanda Webster, a teacher from Indiana, has been missing since October 11.
Police in Puerto Rico confirmed that they found a body while searching for Webster, 44.
The body was found in a river in the Rio Blanco neighborhood of the Sector Camino Viejo de Naguabo, where authorities had been searching for Webster.
Puerto Rican police said the body was “found upside down floating in a rocky area of the river.”

However, police have not yet confirmed the victim’s identity.
“At this stage it is not possible to identify the gender of the body or conclude if it shows signs of violence,” police said in a statement.
Webster, an art teacher at Franklin Township schools, had been staying at a home in Puerto Rico.
The landlord of the home notified police of Webster’s disappearance after finding her luggage and rental car still there after she was due to leave.
