MISSING television anchor Jodi Huisentruit had made a number of phone calls to a mystery man just days before her disappearance, according to a private investigator.
PI Steve Ridge, who claims to have seen her phone records and has confirmed last movements, outlined what happened in Huisentruit’s final days.

Ridge previously spoke exclusively to The U.S. Sun about Huisentruit’s secret “final fling” – and her phone activity appears to show its intensity.
The local news anchor disappeared from her home in Mason City, Iowa in the early morning hours of June 27, 1995.
Police arrived at her house around 7am to conduct a welfare check and officers are said to have immediately deemed it an abduction after seeing unusual belongings scattered in the parking lot.
A pair of women’s shoes, a blow dryer, hair spray, bent car keys, and earrings were found near Husientruit’s new red Mazda Miata.
The ground showed signs of drag marks but nothing seemed out of place in her home, findjodi.com reports.
Just 10 days before her disappearance, Huisentruit met a mystery man at a bar and the pair quickly fell into an intense relationship.
“Through my digging, I learned that Jodi had a very secret ‘final fling’ with a man she met just ten days before she went missing,” Ridge said.
The man who has not been identified was from out of state but was staying in a home on Clear Lake when he met the 27-year-old in a bar on June 17.
Ridge managed to meet with the man and speak with other sources to confirm the timeline of events and the contents of one phone call.
The following morning Huisentruit phoned the man and the pair saw each other almost every day for a week.
Ridge said that they spoke “just about every day” and that Jodie “initiated the calls.”
The pair then played golf together at 3pm on June 21 and that night had a secret date at the gentleman’s house where they had dinner and drinks on the deck from 6pm onwards.
According to Ridge, the following morning the television anchor called the confidential subject with a “thank you,” which the man confirmed.

Huisentruit then went out of town on a water skiing trip and upon her return on June 24, she called the man once again.
Three days later she went missing and Ridge did not note any other interaction between the couple between June 24 and her disappearance.
The private investigator explained: “The timeline is all stuff people don’t realize she did in her final days.
“They know about two or three of the days because they know she went water skiing and that the following Monday she didn’t ski and that on Monday she played in a golf tournament and that it was Tuesday morning she went missing.”
Speaking about the mystery man, the investigator said: “I know that ‘authorities’ visited his residence twice.
“The second time they asked him to take a polygraph test. On the advice of his attorney, he declined.”
The man also told Ridge that the authorities had confiscated his curbside garbage on trash day.
“They searched his residence and had him under surveillance for several days,” Ridge said.
“They have never identified or acknowledged his existence, or said whether he is a suspect or person of interest.
“Eventually, they cleared him.
“However, I am certain that his quickly blossoming relationship with Jodi played a central role in her abduction days later.”
The investigator named jealousy as one of the potential motives in the case, alongside the strong admiration many locals had for the journalist.
Police are still treating Huisentruit’s disappearance as an active investigation and anyone with information about the case can reach out to the Mason City Police Department at (641) 421-3636.
