New: Climate Scold Greta Thunberg's Gaza Aid Flotilla Thwarted - by Weather

Greta Thunberg, the infamous Doom Pixie, is back in the news again, but this time, it’s not her usual publicity-seeking and climate panic-mongering. She has been assembling another Selfie Yacht cruise, this time with an entire flotilla of “relief ships” carrying aid for Gaza that Israel will intercept. Hopefully, this time, Israel will be able to confiscate some of this aid before the Doom Pixie and her crew can eat it.

The Selfie Flotilla set out from Barcelona recently, but the climate-obsessed Thunberg didn’t count on one thing: The weather. Oh, the irony!

An aid flotilla carrying activist Greta Thunberg, which aimed to sail from Spain to the Gaza Strip, has been thwarted by the weather.

Stormy conditions forced the return of the vessels, which had sailed from Barcelona on Sunday, according to a statement by the Global Sumud Flotilla, which Newsweek has contacted for comment by phone and email.

The renowned activist had intended to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza, where Israel’s stepped-up offensive has raised further fears for the population, which humanitarian groups say face famine.

Yeah, good luck with that. Breaking Israeli blockades isn’t something these kooks have had much success with so far, although they have succeeded in one primary goal: Keeping the Doom Pixie’s name in the media cycle.

Also: “Renowned?” Newsweek, please. We don’t expect much from you, but this is a step too far. “Renowned?” Seriously? How about “notorious?” “Hypocritical?” Or even “infamous?”

This time, Greta’s three-hour tour involves not one ship, but many:

Organizers said the maritime convoy of around 20 boats and delegations from 44 countries was to be joined by additional ships from ports in Italy, Greece, and Tunisia as it made its way from the western Mediterranean to the Gaza Strip.

Before the mission, Thunberg had said on Saturday that Israel had been continuously violating international law by either attacking, unlawfully intercepting the boats in international waters, and continuously preventing the humanitarian aid from entering.

During a previous attempt in June, Thunberg was deported when the Israeli military stopped the ship she was traveling on with around a dozen others.

Clearly, Greta hasn’t been paying sufficient tribute to the weather gods, who are now frowning on her exploits. Not that she’s had much success in past efforts.
