A BRITISH holidaymaker, 60, has mysteriously died in Costa del Sol hotel he was reportedly staying in alone.

The 60-year-old Brit man had been due to check out of his room at the unnamed hotel yesterday.

Emergency responders including medical staff scrambled to the scene – but all they could do was tragically confirm his death.

A post-mortem is due to take place on Friday to determine how the police investigation proceeds.

The results of the autopsy will then be sent to a judge placed in charge of the probe.

Well-placed sources said no signs of violence were found in the room or on the dead man’s body signalling a crime had taken place.

The tourist is thought to have been staying in the room alone in the holiday hotspot.

It comes a mere few days after an elderly British woman was found “starved to death” after her carer son died at their Costa del Sol home – a half-hour drive inland from Fuengirola.

Earlier this week it emerged a British woman and her son had been found dead at their home in Alhaurin el Grande a half-hour drive inland from Fuengirola.

The 90-year-old mum and her 63-year-old son were discovered by cops on a welfare check.

Police had to force their way into the home in Alhaurin el Grande, around 30 minutes away from the Costa del Sol resort of Fuengirola.

Cops believe mum starved to death after her carer son died of natural causes.

The alarm was raised by town hall workers days after an ambulance was called to their home to help the 90-year-old.

These Brits were also known to local social services, and her son is understood to have been her registered carer.

It is not clear whether the 63-year-old also had health issues.

Civil Guard officers who investigated the case believe the pair died from natural causes.

Cops say there is no suggestion they were victims of a crime.

Follow-up tests are being conducted following their post-mortems.
