A BRITISH teenager has tragically died after a fall from a hotel balcony in the Canary Islands.

The 18-year-old was said to have been raced to hospital early this morning after being found fighting for his life.

It was this evening revealed he had tragically died.

The horror was said to have unfolded at a three-star Lanzarote hotel.

Cops confirmed the teen was from the UK and said they were continuing to probe the tragedy.

While the hotel has not been officially named, but it is understood to have been Galeon Playa Apart-Hotel.

The three-star hotel’s website describes it as being in one of the most beautiful spots in the resort on the east coast of the island.

It is said to overlooking the water sports hub of Playa de Las Cucharas on one side and the charming sand beach of el Jablillo on the other.
