Gregor’s friend Liv Anderson has launched an urgent appeal on Facebook for information.

Liv wrote: “Hi everyone, I am reaching out in hopes of locating my friend who has gone missing in Madrid.”

She continued: “He is part of a rugby team from Scotland and was with his teammates at the bar.

“They all left together however he returned to the bar on his own to retrieve something he had left. He has not been seen since then.

“His teammates and captain had been at the police station yesterday (Sat 26th), and the police officially named him as a missing person last night.

“His phone is dead (most likely) and we don’t know if he has ID on him or knows exactly where he is, as it was their first day and he does not know Madrid.

“If anyone has seen him or has any information please reach out immediately. Please share this if you can, to help spread the word. Call 112 for police.”

Liv described her friend as “6ft1 with an athletic, solid build and brown hair“.

She also shared photos of the missing Brit along with screenshots showing his last known location and the area where he was staying.

This comes after a Brit mysteriously vanished in an airport on his way back from a Benidorm stag do in March.

Jason Taylor, 36, reportedly disappeared after abruptly leaving the airport before boarding a flight home.

Jason’s wife Maria and other friends and family rushed to Spain to join the hunt for Jason alongside “loads of locals”.

The Brit was thankfully found and reunited with his family.

A relative of the missing Brit confirmed his return home in a post on Facebook, writing: “Thank you all for sharing and caring.”
