The story: Longtime, Emmy-winning “American Idol” executive Robin Kaye and her husband, composer Thomas Deluca, were found dead in their home Monday after both were brutally executed.

The details are not pretty:

Police said that Kaye and Deluca returned home while [now suspect Raymond] Boodarian was inside, leading to a confrontation that resulted in a shooting. They were found in separate rooms and had been shot multiple times. The suspect then fled from the area on foot…

It turns out it doesn’t matter where you live in the Golden State; even the nicest neighborhoods aren’t safe.

According to the surveillance video, Boodarian had been inside the home for about 30 minutes before the couple came home and confronted him.
