In a touching remembrance of him, Joey Flanagan posted the following on social media: “Rip man, last weekend was great. I’m gonna miss you, Caleb Mchenry.” On October 21, Wood County dispatch reported getting a call of a collision near the intersection of Staunton Turnpike and Leachtown Lane, shortly after 5 p.m. The Wood County Sheriff’s Office’s Lt. Cross reports that a motorcyclist was travelling quickly east on the Staunton Turnpike. The driver veered to the left of the centre and collided with a westbound Chevy Malibu. According to Lt. Cross, the rider of the motorbike had passed away. There were no other recorded injuries.
The probe is still going on right now. The road was closed for around one hour and fifteen minutes as a result of the collision. The following agencies responded: Camden Clark Ambulance Services, St. Joseph’s Ambulance Services, East Wood Volunteer Fire Department (VFD), Elizabeth-Wirt VFD, Parkersburg Police Department, Wood County Sheriff’s Office, and Wood County Crash Investigation Team.
