She was diagnosed after being hit on the leg by a soccer ball while playing in the street as a child.

The pain was so severe that she went to the hospital, where doctors discovered a cancerous tumour in her thighbone.

Despite going into remission, she received a second cancer diagnosis in 2023, as reported by NeedToKnow.

This time, Camila was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer that also attacks bone tissue.

She died peacefully in her hometown of Americana, located north of São Paulo, Brazil, on Wednesday.

During her treatment, she participated in various rodeo events alongside country music greats such as Murilo Huff, Zezé Di Camargo and Luciano, Ana Castela, and Lauana Prado.

Camila, who had over 31,000 Instagram followers, had been crowned Queen of the Jaguariúna Rodeo Festival in 2024.

This year, she was also elected as the Inspiration Queen of the Americana Peão Festival, which celebrates the traditions of American rodeo culture.

Camila wrote an open letter on her Instagram page shortly before her death, which read, “I know this is not an easy time, but I wrote this letter and asked for it to be posted.

“Everyone who passed through my life left a moment that I will carry with me forever, so I am very grateful to everyone who took time out of their lives to enjoy it with me, followed me on Instagram, prayed, talked and everything else.

“I have already fulfilled my role here on earth, and I know that my role was to inspire and influence you about life, that you have to enjoy every moment regardless of what you are going through.

“You only have one life, and time is too precious to not appreciate each moment, so live and never give up, never think negatively, never give up.

“My profile will remain here so you can always come in and remember how I was and everything I lived through.

“I love you all and thank you very much for being with me in this life and for everyone who visited me.

“I want you to know that I am going in peace and my suffering is over, but do not think that it was because I did not have the strength and courage to fight; it was because I was no longer able to suffer.

“God wanted me with him, and I know that my legacy will always be. Remembered.

“Until the next life, I love you.”

Camila was buried at the Parque Gramado Cemetery in Americana on the same day as her passing.

Her family had asked attendees not to wear black at the event.

Camila’s death came after another rodeo star tragically died at 36.
