FIVE people, including a child and a baby, were killed in a devastating pileup on Thursday night.

Horrifying footage showed the highway wreck left 17 vehicles, including a semi-truck, mangled on the road.

Three adults, one child, and one baby were all killed on I35 in Austin, Texas, cops said.

The Austin Police Department raced to the scene at around 11:23 pm on Thursday night.

Once they arrived at the scene, first responders had to rescue three people who were trapped in their cars after the accident.

Eleven people were then rushed to the hospital.

Cops said 17 people and 17 vehicles, including an 18-wheeler semi-truck, were involved in the severe crash.

The crash reportedly ripped the semi-truck open, causing diesel fuel to spill out onto the road.

Crews said the leak was contained.

It’s unclear what caused the crash.

Terrifying footage from the scene shared on social media showed the wreckage scattered across the interstate.

Cars were flipped upside down and ripped into multiple pieces.
