In the latest episode of “Why Can’t We Be Friends?”…
CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King surprised her followers by sharing a cheerful selfie with Fox News host Jesse Watters. The two media personalities found themselves on the same flight crisscrossing the country on Monday.
The image, featuring King and Watters smiling together, sparked a predictable uproar among some left-leaning social media users. The idea of King enjoying a friendly moment with a Fox News host—especially Watters, known for his staunch support of Trump—was apparently too much for some to handle.
King shared the photo on her Instagram with a light-hearted caption:
Oh, the humanity!
Two TV people from competing networks walk on to a plane and to the surprise of them both, they’re seated right next to each other for over four hours. How did it go? Speaking for @jessewatters here: A good time was had by all! Hi, Jesse…saving your number!
Oh, the humanity!

As I suggested in the headline, TDS-riddled leftists across the fruited plain not only reduced themselves to bitter gobs of goo over the mere thought that King would not only post a selfie with Watters, but also because the two media personalities — who couldn’t be more diametrically opposed, politics-wise — could actually enjoy each other’s company.
Watters no doubt loved every minute of the left-wing loon meltdown.
So, yeah — leftists were outraged by the selfie, but then again, what doesn’t outrage the rabid left?
Anyway, here are a few examples:
I respect and love you, Gayle. Your seat mate, however, is harming our country….
Read the room Gayle,,,you should have kept this to yourself,,,,,there is no tolerance for his racism and bigotry,,,,
Fox News are likely scrambling to put out a statement to reassure their viewers that he tried to switch seats and didn’t have a good time at all.
On the other hand, there were oodles of comments praising both King and Watters for setting politics aside.
Great to see this! We all need to work harder at getting along!!
Civility in public! How refreshing! We could certainly use more of that in Congress.I think it’s great!!!
Two people had a great time together and didn’t put their political beliefs in front of a friendship or flight home! That’s the way it should be.
Still, King is no fan of Trump; the TDS-riddled co-host seldom misses an opportunity to bash the president, whether her reasons are fact-based or concocted.
