25-Year-Old Woman Injured in Danville Shooting Over the Weekend

In the early hours of Sunday morning, the Danville Police Department was called to investigate a shooting that resulted in a woman being injured. The incident unfolded near the intersection of Beachwood Drive and Fowler Avenue, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement. At approximately 3:36 a.m., officers discovered a 25-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg.

Fortunately, the injury was not life-threatening, and the woman was promptly taken to a hospital for medical care. According to Deputy Chief Joshua Webb, the shooting followed a substantial gathering in the 1600 block of Beechwood Drive. Despite the urgency of the situation, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active as authorities work to identify potential suspects.
