A CUSTOMER has revealed the worst hot chocolate she found while on the hunt at a popular holiday market.
Rachel Brotman, a New York-based baker, was disappointed when she found her worst-rated hot chocolate at the Holiday Market in Union Square.
The Holiday Market happens every year from November 16 to December 24th. People have the option to get everything they need for the holiday, as well as little treats along the way.
The food critic tried four different hot chocolates from different vendors and ranked them using her own rating system.
Out of all of her reviews, she gave Babka Bailout the lowest score of them all.
Babka Bailout is a bakery that is highly regarded for its Babka, which is a sweet braided bread that originated in Jewish communities.
“I was pretty excited for this one, and while I loved the marshmallow and babka bite, the hot chocolate itself was watery and bland. It was also the most expensive cup here, priced at $13,” she explained in her video.
For reference, hot chocolate at Starbucks ranges from $3.45 to $4.65 depending on the size.
“I rate this one a 7.5 and think you should stick to the actual babka here.”
However, if you are going to stop at the market, she recommends going straight to No Chewing Allowed.

“The hot chocolate is rich and it tasted like a melted chocolate bar while maintaining its thin consistency. I rate it a 9.5”
No Chewing Allowed is another New York-based company that has a good reputation for its drinks and treats.
If you need more hot chocolate options, a Tiktoker named Emily Jade (@emiiyjade) has tested hot chocolates from Starbucks, Costa, McDonald’s, Greggs, Caffe Nero, and Pret A Mange, to see which one is the best.
Of all of her drinks, she loved Cafe Nero the most.
“Are you seeing this hot chocolate? It’s so dark,” she exclaimed in her video.
“This looks like a really good hot chocolate.”
Taking a sip, she added: “That is like a rich, dark chocolate hot chocolate.
“That is incredible. This is a proper hot chocolate. You get a 9.5 out of 10 for this!”
However, the Tiktoker was not a fan of Greggs compared to the other drinks.
Emily had never tried a hot chocolate from Greggs before and had been a fan of the restaurant.
“Greggs I’m not sure about this!” she said.
“This is so watery. I’m going to have to give you a 6/10.
“I usually love all of your food but the hot chocolate is not for me.”
