A recent report has revealed that the Arizona home of Nancy Guthrie, who has gone missing, was found in an almost untouched state, much to the shock of her grieving family.
The 84-year-old’s home in Catalina Foothills appeared undisturbed, with the interior meticulously clean and certain areas impeccably maintained, after she was taken from her residence in the early hours of February 1. This information was shared by a local law enforcement official with NewsNation.
This unsettling revelation comes just days after Savannah Guthrie, Nancy’s daughter and host of “Today,” shared a contrasting version of the home’s condition.
In an emotional interview last week, the NBC host described finding her mother’s belongings strewn about the disordered Tucson home, bloodstains on the front steps, a missing Ring camera, and the back doors left wide open.
Initially, Savannah and her siblings suspected their mother had experienced a medical emergency.
But the situation worsened when they couldn’t find her – and chilling footage from Nancy’s home security system revealed a masked, armed intruder trying to break in the night police believe she was kidnapped.
“It’s just absolutely terrifying,” she told her “Today” colleague Hoda Kotb during the emotional sit-down.
“It’s just totally terrifying, and I can’t imagine that that is who she saw standing over her bed. I can’t. It’s too much.”
There have been no known signs of Nancy in the nearly two months since she vanished.
Blood splatter found at the scene was confirmed to be the beloved grandmother’s — but no suspects have been identified despite thousands of tips and a widespread search involving the FBI.
Several people were detained and questioned, but each was released within hours.
The family received multiple largely bogus ransom notes — but Guthrie believes at least two are real.
