CNN’s Chief International Correspondent Christiane Amanpour, meanwhile, was once a highly respected journalist who trotted around the globe bringing viewers the top news around the world. Like so many corporate media hacks, however, she turned into yet another DNC mouthpiece who can be virtually guaranteed to spout whatever leftist talking points are hot du jour. Her large ego, always on display in her “I’m talking down to idiots” speaking style, became further apparent on Wednesday in her ramblings on her podcast “The Ex Files.”
Legal and illegal migration are issues that affect the entire world, but in the end, you see, it’s all about her.
Speaking with her ex-husband Jamie Rubin, a former State Department official, Amanpour recalled a speech she gave at Harvard Kennedy School last month. Although she was a prominent media figure, she expressed fear that she would be stopped by border security.
“I must say I was afraid,” Amanpour said. “I’m a foreigner. I don’t have a green card. I’m not an American citizen. I’m fairly prominent, and I literally prepared to go to America as if I was going to North Korea. I took a burner phone. Imagine that. I didn’t take a single…not my mobile phone, not my iPad, nothing, and I had nothing on the burner phone except a few numbers.”
Histrionic much?
As if invoking 1984 and Mussolini in her Harvard commencement speech wasn’t bad enough, PBS/CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour says on her podcast that “I literally prepared to go to America as if I was going to North Korea. I took a burner phone, Jamie. Imagine that.” pic.twitter.com/AQ7GyK8Itq
